The Telangana government resolved to bring out a comprehensive education policy to improve the quality of education and the functioning of educational institutions at various levels. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said a high-powered committee has been appointed to study and recommend provisions for the policy, which is being developed on the lines of the National Education Policy and will be announced soon. Revanth Reddy briefed Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur on education-sector reforms, including the setting up of Young India Integrated Residential Schools. Each integrated school is planned on 25 acres, aims to educate students from all sections including SC, ST, BC and minority communities under one roof, and is estimated to cost ₹200 crore.
