Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the TG Government will introduce an accident insurance cover of ₹1.02 crore for all government employees in the state. He said consultations with leading bankers have been completed to operationalise the process for the accident insurance. He said the government is releasing dues pending since the previous regime in a phased manner on a monthly basis despite financial constraints. He said accident insurance of more than ₹1 crore has already been implemented for employees under Singareni and power utilities, with coverage extended to 38,000 regular employees in Singareni and 71,387 employees working in power utilities.
