A What happened
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said it seized 1.33 lakh kg of drugs worth about ₹2,000 crore in 2025 and destroyed 77,000 kg of narcotic drugs valued at ₹3,889 crore. The agency said it arrested 994 drug traffickers in 447 cases and secured conviction of 265 drug offenders in 131 cases, with a conviction rate of 66.8% in 2025. The NCB said it ran operations including seizures of methamphetamine in Delhi, a darknet drug syndicate bust with LSD, ketamine, and cryptocurrency seizures, and dismantling of an international pharmaceutical trafficking network. The agency said it busted six drug laboratories in four States, froze assets worth ₹96.69 crore, and used Interpol notices and deportations in several cases.
