Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a year-long deadline to achieve pothole-free roads across the state. During a review meeting, he emphasized the importance of strengthening the Andhra Pradesh Logistics and Infrastructure Corporation (AP-Link) to support large-scale development. Naidu highlighted the need for strict quality control in road construction and maintenance, warning that contractors and supervising engineers would be held accountable for any compromises. He noted that only 10-15% progress has been made on previously sanctioned road maintenance projects. The Chief Minister also called for the use of advanced technologies like drones and LiDAR for monitoring road conditions and fast-tracking repairs from Cyclone Michaung. He urged close coordination with the Central Government to ensure timely execution of National Highway projects, reinforcing the motto of 'State First – Development First.'
