Karnataka’s Revenue Department has formally proposed that the Karnataka High Court enable designated court officers to directly log into the RTC system to auto-enter High Court and civil court orders, mirroring the real-time digital workflow used by revenue courts.
Karnataka seeks to digitize land-record updates from High Court and civil court orders
Why it matters
If accepted, land-record (RTC) updates tied to High Court and civil court orders would shift from petitioner-driven submission to court-to-system entry, reducing delays and missed mutations in property records. The change would require the High Court to designate staff and operationalize system access controls, creating a new compliance and audit trail for court-originated record changes. For property transactions and disputes, faster RTC reflection can compress timelines for title regularization and reduce interim risk where court orders exist but are not yet visible in RTCs.
