Aviation expert Harsh Wardhan emphasized the potential for a catastrophic failure if the issue had gone unnoticed. The glitch affects the elevator and dial-tone control system, crucial for maintaining altitude. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued an airworthiness directive banning the use of multiple Airbus models until the issue is resolved. This directive follows incidents that revealed a risk of solar radiation corrupting critical flight control data.
