Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Telangana's Revenue Minister, has publicly criticized K.T. Rama Rao for his involvement in the Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation Policy (HILTP). Reddy stated that the policy was created during the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) regime, with KTR signing off on it while serving as the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister. He accused KTR and his father, former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, of manipulating land use for personal gain, particularly in areas like Kokapet and Neopolis. Reddy highlighted the conversion of industrial land in L.B. Nagar to residential zones despite pollution complaints from residents. He also suggested that both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and BRS share similar views on the HILTP, implying a lack of genuine opposition between the two parties.
