What happened
The Guntur police have arrested five individuals for their involvement in a conspiracy to falsely accuse Circle Inspector Matangi Srinivasa Rao. The plan was allegedly masterminded by journalist Kanneganti Arun Babu, who sought revenge after the officer refused to pay him money. On November 4, Arun Babu hired a group to vandalize his own car and then falsely claimed that the police officer was responsible. Police investigations, supported by CCTV footage and call records, led to the arrests of Bade Jagadish, Meda Sampath Kumar, Velisetty Adarsh Babu, Sai, and Prasanna Reddy. Arun Babu has a criminal history and previously worked for Andhra Prabha Telugu daily, where he lost his accreditation due to past allegations. He later joined BRK News Channel.
