The cyclone caused significant damage to electric infrastructure, including poles, conductors, and transformers. Anticipating the cyclone's impact, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu alerted the administration and public representatives, which helped mitigate the damage. A total of 1,500 staff members from three DISCOMs were deployed to the hardest-hit areas, including Visakhapatnam, Machilipatnam, and Bapatla. The restoration efforts included the installation of 12,500 new electric poles, replacement of 2,900 km of conductors, and repair or reinstallation of nearly 3,000 transformers. While household power supply has been fully restored, the restoration of agricultural and aqua connections is expected to be completed within the next 48 hours.
