Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed State government officials to meet people at their respective offices for two working days each week, Mondays and Fridays, to hear and address concerns. The arrangement is set to take effect from January 19, 2026, and is intended to tackle public grievances that persist because officials are often absent when people visit government offices. Kumar said officials at Gram Panchayat, police station, block, subdivision, district, division, and State levels will be present, listen to complaints with sensitivity, and resolve them promptly. He said visitor facilities will be arranged, a complaints register will be maintained, and continuous monitoring of complaints will be ensured.
