What happened
BHEL secured an order from Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited (BCGCL) for coal gasification and raw syngas cleaning facilities for a coal-to-ammonium nitrate project in Jharsuguda, Odisha. BCGCL is a joint venture of BHEL and Coal India Ltd. The order covers engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and performance guarantee for the coal gasification and raw syngas cleaning facilities. The project will use BHEL’s in-house Pressurised Fluidised Bed Gasification technology for its first commercial-scale application.
