Why it matters
This secures a designated location for future processing and industrial infrastructure, removing a key siting constraint that can delay permitting, engineering, and contractor scoping. By placing facilities outside the mining tenure, St George preserves the orebody footprint from being sterilised by surface infrastructure, which can improve mine planning flexibility and recoverable resource assumptions. The land’s zoning for mining/industrial use reduces the risk of needing a rezoning pathway before advancing development work.
