India notifies green ammonia and green methanol standards
- • “Green” labeling is conditional on meeting the specified CO₂e-per-kg thresholds on a rolling 12-month average across the covered process steps.
- • Green methanol production is limited to CO₂ from biogenic sources, direct air capture, or existing industrial sources, with future changes applied prospectively with grandfathering.
- • Certification and verification requirements will be governed by a separate MNRE methodology for measurement, reporting, monitoring, and on-site verification.
