Argentina increases LPG shipments to India
Why it matters
Argentina dispatched 50,000 tonnes of LPG to India in Jan–Mar 2026 versus 22,000 tonnes in 2025. Nearly 39,000 tonnes were loaded at Bahia Blanca before the West Asia conflict, with an 11,000-tonne cargo shipped on March 5. Argentina's natural-gas-driven LPG production was 259,000 tonnes in January 2026 and annual output rose to 2.63 million tonnes in 2025 from 2.6 million in 2024. A new natural gas liquids fractionation unit at Bahia Blanca is planned for commissioning in 2026 to raise processed output targeted at export markets.
