IRDAI extends transitional annual-fee and registration arrangements to 31 August 2026
Insurance intermediaries, surveyors and loss assessors must pay the annual fee and hold registration under transitional terms now extended to 31 August 2026
- — Insurance intermediaries, surveyors and loss assessors must continue paying the annual fee and maintaining their Certificate of Registration under the transitional arrangements now running to 31 August 2026 or notification of the amended Regulations, whichever is earlier — the prior arrangements lapsed on 30 June 2026, and the extension is the current basis for valid registration.
- — Compliance and licensing teams at insurance intermediary firms must track the earlier of 31 August 2026 or the amended-Regulations notification date as the point at which the transitional basis ends and the new fee and registration regime takes over — planning to the lapsed 30 June date leaves the fee and registration basis mis-set.

- — 31 August 2026, or the date of notification of the relevant amended Regulations if earlier: the transitional annual-fee and registration arrangements end and the amended-Regulations regime takes over.
