EU bars all sheep and goat movements out of Croatia until 30 September 2026 after PPR outbreaks
Croatian sheep and goat keepers and transporters cannot move animals out of Croatia until 30 September 2026, with zone movement bans inside affected counties
- — Sheep and goat keepers and livestock transporters in Croatia must not move caprine or ovine animals to any destination outside Croatia until 30 September 2026 — such movements are prohibited under Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1389.
- — Operators within the protection, surveillance and further restricted zones must not move caprine and ovine animals beyond the external perimeter of the further restricted zone until the dates listed for each zone in Annex I, and cannot rely on the usual Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/687 movement derogations, which are disapplied.
- — The Croatian competent veterinary authority must establish and enforce the protection, surveillance and further restricted zones and apply the disease-control measures of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/687 as set out in the Decision.
