EU re-authorises poultry-meat imports from Bosnia after avian-influenza suspension lifted
EU importers of Bosnian poultry can resume fresh-meat consignments and apply the lighter treatment 'A' to poultry meat products once the regulation takes effect
- — EU importers and customs/border-control teams handling Bosnian poultry must update import eligibility to reflect that fresh poultry meat from Bosnia is re-authorised for entry into the Union once the regulation takes effect, having been suspended since February 2026.
- — Importers of poultry meat products from Bosnia must apply the non-specific treatment 'A' requirement in place of the previous risk-mitigating treatment 'D', and update certification and treatment documentation accordingly, or consignments will not meet the amended Annex XV conditions.
- — Border-control and veterinary-certification teams must apply the amended Annex XIV and XV entries for Bosnia from the date of entry into force, since the lists in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/404 govern which consignments may enter the Union.
