European Commission amends EU poultry import lists (Implementing Regulation 2026/1207)
EU border inspection and veterinary authorities must block consignments from the newly listed Canada and US HPAI zones (effective 4 June 2026) and apply re-authorisation rules for the amended UK zones.
- — EU Member State border inspection and veterinary authorities must apply the amended Annexes V and XIV from 4 June 2026 — failure to apply the list amendments constitutes non-compliance with the Union's animal-health entry rules.
- — EU importers and customs declarants of poultry, germinal products, and fresh meat of poultry and game birds must not present consignments originating from zones CA-2.337, CA-2.338 (Canada) or US-2.1380–US-2.1385 (United States) for entry into the Union from 4 June 2026 — such consignments will be refused entry.
- — EU importers and Member State authorities handling consignments from the re-authorised UK zones (GB-2.467–GB-2.470) must process entry in accordance with the amended Annexes — consignments not matching the amended zone codes must be denied entry.
