The 63rd Home Guards Raising Day took place at the Armed Reserve Grounds in Puttaparthi, where Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar received a guard of honour from the home guards. In his address, he commended their significant role in maintaining law and order, managing traffic, and handling emergencies. The home guards, established in 1946, have become a crucial support force for the police. Currently, there are 305 home guards serving in the Sri Sathya Sai district. The SP encouraged them to uphold discipline, honesty, and dedication while assuring improvements in their welfare benefits. He also advised them to stay physically fit and communicate any job-related issues directly with him.
