Why it matters
The NEET-UG 2025 examination has raised alarms due to significant failures in CCTV surveillance. Central institutes monitoring the exam reported numerous issues, including non-functional cameras, blurred video feeds, and inadequate coverage of strong rooms. Some centers had no camera feeds available, while others faced login issues that limited monitoring capabilities. Despite the introduction of additional monitoring measures following the 2024 question paper leak, the assessments reveal persistent gaps in oversight. Various states reported similar issues, indicating a widespread problem that could undermine the integrity of the examination process.
