On November 6, 2025, the Karnataka Cabinet approved the Karnataka Startup Policy 2025-30, which aims to facilitate the establishment of 25,000 startups within five years. The policy allocates a budget of ₹518.27 crore to provide financial support for these startups. A key aspect of the initiative is to ensure that at least 10,000 of the new startups are set up outside Bengaluru, promoting regional development. The policy also emphasizes creating a conducive ecosystem, enhancing infrastructure, and ensuring the availability of skilled manpower necessary for startup growth. In addition to the startup policy, the Cabinet approved several other proposals, including modifications to the INDIRA food kit and administrative approvals for various infrastructure projects.
