U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said in a February 3, 2026 CNBC interview that the trade deal announced by President Donald Trump includes India reducing tariffs to zero on a broad set of U.S. industrial and agricultural goods, including items such as fruits and vegetables, and covering categories like manufactured goods, chemicals, and medical devices; he also said the U.S. will keep an 18% tariff level against India and that the agreement’s documentation is still being finalized.
