Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), stated that the government is not only focusing on the introduction of new technologies but also on the transfer of these technologies to enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities. The initiative aims to reduce the energy consumption footprint across the country. The DPIIT is collaborating with the World Bank to develop strategies that will effectively lower energy usage in the air conditioning sector. Additionally, the government is exploring improved methods for utilizing coal, such as coal gasification, to further enhance energy efficiency.
