Sajeesh K., a junior commissioned officer in the Indian Army, tragically died in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, while leading a search operation. On Friday evening, he slipped while navigating a steep slope and fell into a deep gorge, resulting in his immediate death. His body was transported back to his home in Kerala on Saturday. The funeral was held on November 23, 2025, and was attended by hundreds of mourners, including prominent political figures like P.K. Kunhalikutty. The ceremony included full military honors, such as a gun salute, before his sons performed the cremation rites.
