European Commission establishes EU e-PoC system for proofs of origin
Customs authorities and exporters must switch issuance, submission, and verification of proofs of origin to the EU e-PoC system on the Regulation's specified start dates — paper EUR.1 workflows are replaced.
- — Customs authorities of Member States must interconnect their national single-window environments to EU CSW-CERTEX and integrate with the EU e-PoC system to enable automated exchange and verification by 29 June 2033 — failure to implement prevents the automated verification exchanges required by the Regulation.
- — Customs authorities of Member States must use the EU e-PoC system to issue movement certificates EUR.1 and to manage EU-level administrative cooperation from 26 June 2030 — paper-based EUR.1 issuance and non-electronic administrative cooperation will not comply with the Regulation from that date.
- — Exporters and economic operators must submit applications for movement certificates EUR.1 through the EU e-PoC system from 26 June 2030 — paper applications will not be processed under the Regulation's framework from that date.
