European Commission deletes methoxyfenozide, penthiopyrad and terpenoid blend QRD 460 from EU approved active-substances list
Plant protection product marketing-authorisation holders must treat methoxyfenozide, penthiopyrad, and terpenoid blend QRD 460 as no longer EU-approved from 18 June 2026 — products depending on these substances lose their EU approval basis.
- — Plant protection product marketing-authorisation holders must not rely on EU approval for methoxyfenozide, penthiopyrad, or terpenoid blend QRD 460 after 18 June 2026 — products placed on the EU market after that date without an approved active substance basis violate Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.
- — National competent authorities in EU Member States must not accept new or renewed product authorisations dependent on the three deleted substances after 18 June 2026 — granting such authorisations would contravene the binding Implementing Regulation.
- — Manufacturers, importers, and distributors of plant protection products containing the deleted substances must cease EU market placement by 18 June 2026 — supply-chain actors should audit inventory and forward orders against this deadline.
